On 10th November, the single judge bench of the Kerala High Court allowed pre-arrest bail to Bhagyalakshmi, Divya Sana, and Sreelakshmi Arackal who have been accused of assaulting controversial YouTuber Vijay P Nair.
These three women entered the Vijay P Nair’s office on September 26 and thrown black ink, nettle oil on his face because of his vulgar remarks against a woman slurring feminists in his YouTube videos. At the time of this incident, the assault was streaming live on Facebook.
Following this, Bhagyalakshmi, Diya Sana, and Arackal were booked under Sections 452 (House-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint), 294 B (sings, recites or utters any obscene song, ballad or words, in or near any public place), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), 392 (punishment for robbery), 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code
