Bombay High Court confirms death sentence to a 30 yr old man for raping and murdering a 3yr old minor

On March 8, 2019,  the Session Court sentenced Goode to the death penalty, which the convict challenged in the High Court. The state government has filed a plea with the HC to confirm the death sentence.

The Bombay High Court upheld the death sentence of 30-year-old Ramkirat Muniral Goode from Kasarvadavli in Thane, who was convicted in September 2013 for the rape and murder of a 3-year-old girl who wanted to play with her dog on Thursday. On March 8, 2019, the Court of Justice sentenced Goode to the death penalty which the prisoner challenged in the High Court. The state government has filed a plea with the HC to confirm the death sentence.

“She was noticed by a knave man who was driven by a desire of lust upon the sight of a little happy harmless child playing in her own world,” said Judge Sadana S. Jadab and Pritovillage K. Judge Chavan’s split bank said. The minor was killed and her body was found in a muddy pond a few days later.

“It is such an incident that parents of every small girl child would feel a chill down the spine before sending their undefended, innocent, minor girl child to see the rainbow as they would be scared as to whether she would fall prey to any monster like the present one. It is the safety of a girl child which is of paramount importance to a society,” HC observed.
