On Wednesday the Supreme Court had rejected a plea that was asking for a status report on the ongoing current investigation in FIRs that has been registered in different states with regards to the matter of the alleged paper leak and widespread malpractices during the NEET UG Examinations of 2021 that were held on September 12, 2021.
Advocate Salman Khurshid, who was representing the petitioners, had submitted in the beginning itself that he was not supporting the cancellation of the exam and conducting new tests even if the very same prayers were rejected earlier by the court.
Salman Khurshid had also added that he was only pressing in particular for seeking a report on the investigation conducted in accordance with the FIRs that were registered over the said and claimed malpractices in the NEET-UG 2021 exam.
The Central Bureau of Investigation had registered the FIR against four supposedly accused people and some others, stating that the process of conducting the examination was manipulated by making use of proxy candidates and high amounts of money even as high as 50 lakhs per candidate which was charged by the various coaching centres all over the country.
