Indrani Mukerjea, the main accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, has suffered a severe setback from the Bombay High Court, which on Tuesday denied bail to Indrani Mukerjea, who has been in prison since August 2015. Indrani Mukerjea was arrested in this murder case in August 2015 and has since been detained in Byculla Prison.

Since 2017, five bail requests have been filed by Indrani Mukerjee and rejected. Indrani Mukerjee, along with her driver Shyamvar Rai and her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna, allegedly strangled their daughter Sheena Bora in April 2012, after which her body was cremated in the nearby forest of Raigad district. Sanjeev Khanna is a co-defendant in this case.

It is noteworthy that this case came to light three years later the crime was actually committed in 2015. The motion to cease further investigations into the matter was filed in court by CBI special Judge AS Syed. The mother of Sheena Bora and former media official Indrani Mukerjee, allegedly killed her. Indrani Mukerjea is one of the main accused in the case.
