Sunil Shukla, a friend of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has moved to the Bombay High Court seeking a CBI investigation into the death of actor’s former Business Manager Disha Salian.
The plea filed through Advocates Sriram Parakkat, KR Sripathy and Anupama Subramanian. And, Shukla claims to have documents to prove that the ‘mysterious death’ of Ms. Salian was not a suicide but a Murder.
On June 8, during late-night party Disha Salian died after falling off the 14th floor of a residential building in Maland, West Mumbai. And a week after, on June 14th morning Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly committed suicide and this matter is being probed by the CBI.
The petition filed by the Sunil Shukla has contended that the Mumbai Police has not considered several aspects while probing Salian’s death. For instance, it is alleged that Salian’s mobile was in use even after his death which means the Mumbai police failed to recover the mobile to check the CDR of people involved in her death. Further, he also alleged that At the time of the incident, Salian was with her fiancé Rohan Rai and since then he is absconding and has deactivated his social media account and has kept his mobile switched off.
Questioning the Mumbai Police, the petitioner has also said that they have failed to collect CCTV footage of the Building premises of that night, which would have been vital evidence in this matter.
The petitioner has also alleged that Salian’s body was found 15 meters away from the building elevation which was possible only if more than 2 people threw from the top. Further the petitioner stated that “it is surprising and suspicious to note that the statement of the people present in the party wherein Disha Salian was seen last was not recorded till date.”
Before the Court, the petitioner has submitted that evidence in the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, and the evidence in Disha Salian’s case would all be res gestae under Section 6 of the Indian Evidence Act and it is imperative. Therefore, that investigation upon doing by the CBI must be interconnected.
