The SC turns down to entertain Habeas Corpus Plea for protection of Girl in an interreligious relationship

The Supreme Court on Monday turned down to entertain a Habeas Corpus plea filed asking for protection of a girl in an inter-religious relationship with the solicitor and she is apparently detained by her parents who are threatening her to a forced marriage. A bench of three Justices, CJI Bobde, Justice Bopanna, and Justice Ramasubramanian has asked the solicitor to address the Allahabad High Court alternatively. Meanwhile, at the hearing today, the legal practitioner appearing for the solicitor submitted before the Court that a compulsory direction was given by the SC to make special cells but no such special cells have been formed. The counsel further added that Allahabad High Court was on a strike of and it would take 10 days at the least to get the case alleviated. The Court had asked the solicitor to take back and speak to Allahabad High Court rather.
