Bigg Boss contestant, Swami Om files petition in the SC regarding the appointment of the CJI

Swami Om, a contestant in the reality show, Bigg Boss, filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding the appointment of the current Chief Justice.

A bench consisting of Justice J S Khehar and D Y Chandrachud were of the opinion that this petition was filed as a popularity stunt and that this petition should have been filed much earlier. The petitioner said he didn’t need popularity, he already had a fan following of 50 million people across the world.

The bench was amused when the petitioner said he has been agitating the matter ever since the appointment took place.

The bench levied a fine of Rs. 50 crores on the petitioner to which he replied he did not even have Rs. 10.

In a sarcastic tone, the bench asked the pet. To collect a rupee each from his 50 million followers.
