On Wednesday Aryan Khan’s bail application was rejected by Special Judge VV Patil. The bail application of the other two accused named Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha in the Mumbai cruise drug case was also turned down by the court.
Aryan Khan along with two others was taken into custody after the raid has been conducted on a cruise ship by NCB on October 2, 2021. He was charged under various sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act like Section 8(c), 20(b), 27, 28, 29, and 35. Due to these charges, he was put under house arrest on October 3. After he was remanded to judicial custody he moved to the court for bail application. Earlier the bail application of Khan and the other two accused has already been rejected by the Magistrate court stating that it cannot take up those cases which are to be tried by special NDPS court. The NCB has rejected the submission made on behalf of the accused. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had opposed the application because they are suspected to be engaged in illegal drug trafficking and criminal conspiracy
After the bail application has been rejected by the special court Aryan Khan moved the application to the High Court.
